Privacy & your data

You can try Eva with 100 free messages before creating an account. Each successful chat response, generated image, or edited image uses one message. Four images use four messages; internal edit planning does not add a charge. Signed-in users get unlimited free messages, subject to normal speed and concurrency limits. There are no advertising trackers or analytics scripts. New text conversations start as temporary chats; you can choose to save them.

Accounts and free messages

A necessary browser cookie identifies your guest allowance and saved guest history. The allowance record stores a random identifier and a message count, not chat contents. Generated images and their descriptions are stored separately as described below. Refreshing or starting a new conversation does not reset the allowance. The trial is per browser; clearing cookies or using another browser can restart it. We do not use IP tracking or device fingerprinting to match visitors across browsers.

If you sign up, we store your email, a salted password hash, and the records needed to manage sign-in sessions. We do not store your password in readable form, personal profile details, IP addresses, or browser identifiers in those account records. Necessary sign-in cookies keep you logged in. Signing in enables access to saved chats and images on your other devices. It does not automatically save temporary chats. You can sign out or delete your account from the Account menu; deletion requires your password and removes your account, active sign-in sessions, and saved account chats, images and descriptions.

Saved image history and sync

Completed generated and edited images are saved on Eva’s server with their descriptions, creation times, dimensions, and generation seeds. They remain separate from text-chat context. Signed-in users can retrieve their history on another device by signing into the same account. Images are private to that account: the app does not create public image links. Signing out hides account history without deleting it. Uploaded original images and prepared document images are not saved in history.

Guest images are available through the guest cookie for 30 days after each image is created. They disappear from history when expired and are removed by hourly server cleanup or startup cleanup. Clearing cookies loses access to guest history but does not immediately delete the server copy. Creating a new account moves available guest images into that account; if a request is still running, finish it and use “Add guest images to this account.” Signing into an existing account offers the same import button rather than automatically attaching shared-browser images. Guest images cannot sync to another device until imported into an account.

Account images stay until you delete them or delete the account. Use the delete button on an image, or “Delete all” in Image history, to remove images and their descriptions across devices. Already-open pages refresh when revisited or when you choose Refresh; already-downloaded copies are not deleted. Image history is limited to 1,000 images or 512 MB per account or guest. When full, you must remove older images before creating more; older images are not silently replaced.

Deletion removes images from the live application. Database journal files, infrastructure snapshots, or backups can retain older data until they expire or are recycled. Production backup retention and encryption settings must be configured and disclosed before public launch. This is not a promise of immediate forensic erasure or end-to-end encryption.

Saved chats and search

Choose “Save chat” to save that conversation’s title, questions and answers on Eva’s server. Later completed replies in the same conversation are saved too. Drafts, failed or stopped responses, images and documents are not included. New conversations start as temporary chats unless you choose to save them. Saving and searching do not use free messages.

Chat history lets you search titles and message text, reopen a conversation, continue it, rename it, or delete one or all saved chats. Search text is sent in a private request body, not put in the page URL or stored as a search history. Saved text is readable by the service; this is not end-to-end encryption. History is private to your account or guest cookie, with no public chat links.

Guest chats expire 30 days after they were first saved, and expired records are removed by hourly or startup cleanup. Clearing cookies loses access without immediately deleting the server copy. Signup transfers available saved guest chats to the new account. Logging into an existing account requires choosing “Add guest chats to this account” to import them. Account chats remain until deleted or the account is deleted. History is limited to 500 conversations and 50 MB of saved text per account or guest, with up to 100 messages and 512 KB per conversation. A separate searchable text index also occupies storage. Old chats are not silently evicted to make room.

Deleting a saved chat removes it from live search and history, but already-open tabs, copied text and backups can retain copies. A stale open tab cannot overwrite a deleted saved chat. Chats that were never saved and have already been lost on refresh cannot be recovered.

For up to one year after a chat is deleted or expires, a deletion marker containing only its random chat identifier and an expiry time prevents a delayed save request from recreating it. The marker contains no message text, title, email or account identifier.

What is sent to Eva

When you send a message, your message and recent conversation context are sent to the configured Eva service to produce an answer. Image descriptions, images selected for editing, and document images are sent only when you choose their corresponding action. These are kept separate from your chat.

What stays in your browser

Temporary text chats, unsaved drafts, selected editing sources, and prepared document images are held in this tab’s memory, not in browser local storage. Chats you explicitly save are stored separately on the server. A new conversation clears the current text chat. Reloading clears those temporary items but restores access to saved chats and image history and keeps your guest allowance or login cookie. Changing accounts or signing out clears the current tab’s conversation and media state; saved account chats and images can be loaded again after signing back in. Downloaded files and copied text remain wherever you save them.

Uploaded images

Before upload, supported PNG and JPEG images are re-encoded in your browser to remove embedded metadata and reduce their size. Edited versions never overwrite your source file. “Download original” saves the prepared, resized source. The visible contents of the image—including names or other personal information—are still sent when you ask Eva to edit or read it. Do not upload information you do not want processed.

Privacy has limits

This is not an anonymity service or end-to-end encrypted messaging. The service must process your submitted content to respond. Network and hosting providers can process connection information, including an IP address. Your browser, extensions, device, downloads, or clipboard can retain information independently of this app.

Deployment and contact

The local preview is not the public service. Before a public launch, EVA Live Inc must verify the deployed infrastructure’s logging and retention settings and publish the applicable service policy. You can contact EVA through the company website. Visiting that website is separate from using this app.

This notice describes this web interface. It is not a guarantee that every hosting configuration, browser, or network retains no data.
